In our modern society, we have a rather static and often asymmetrical lifestyle. We sit a lot in the car or train or on an office chair, hang out on the couch, stand with one foot on the bike pedal at a red light, carry a shoulder bag on one shoulder or stand still while \u201changing in\u201d a hip.<\/p>\n<p>In short; we often use our bodies asymmetrically and spend excessive time in one and the same posture. Moreover, we sometimes experience stress and tension and social pressure on us is quite high. All these types of factors can cause our bodies to become unbalanced. We may exercise, but we are more likely to choose a \u201cwork out\u201d instead of choosing body work that focuses on a \u201cwork in\u201d and thus on relaxation and flexibility. As a result, our bodies are often tense, even during pregnancy. The sooner the better, but it&#8217;s never too late to try! In the session, our experienced teacher will explain and show you how you can work with your own body and how a properly aligned and balanced body could help your baby make the turn himself.<\/p>\n<p>Together we practice gentle postures and techniques that you can also apply at home. Our approach is customized and based on where you are in your pregnancy. The breech session gave me the feeling that I could influence the turning of my baby myself. In onze moderne maatschappij hebben we een vrij statische en vaak ook asymmetrische levensstijl. We zitten veel in de auto of trein of op een bureaustoel, hangen op de bank, staan met \u00e9\u00e9n voet op de fietspedaal voor rood licht, dragen een schoudertas op \u00e9\u00e9n schouder of staan stil terwijl we \u2018in\u2019 een heup hangen.<\/p><p>Kortom; we gebruiken ons lichaam vaak asymmetrisch en besteden overmatig veel tijd in \u00e9\u00e9n en dezelfde houding. Bovendien ervaren we soms stress en spanning en is de sociale druk op ons vrij groot. Door al dit soort factoren kan ons lichaam uit balans raken. We sporten misschien wel, maar we kiezen sneller voor een \u2018work out\u2019 in plaats van dat we body work kiezen dat gericht is op een \u2018work in\u2019 en dus op ontspanning en souplesse. Hierdoor is ons lichaam vaak gespannen, ook tijdens de zwangerschap.
